EATON IS DEAD IN NORTH Former Head of Offices Here for Flour Millers Dies in Brook- line, Mass. Franklin. R. Eaton, regional vice president and formerly manager of the Washington and Baltimore offices and surrounding territory of the Wash- burn Crosby Co., flour millers, died in Brookline, Mass., Tuesday after a long illness. Mr. Eaton was for 18 years manager of the company's Washington and Baltimore offices, prior to Februar last, when he left this clty to becom manager of the company's mills at Louisville, Ky., at which time he alsc assumed general charge of the com pany's Southern territory. Mr. Eaton resided here at 3407 Woodley road and was prominen: in several trade bodies and clubs of this city, being a former member of th: Washington Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trade, the City Club snd the Columbia Country Club. He came to this city from Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Eaton had gone to Brookline to recuperate. FRANKLIN R. EATON. John Lee Rea, 50 years old, section chief in the miscellaneous division, Bureau of Internal Revenue, veteran of the Spanish-American and World Wars, died of heart disease at his resi- dence. in the Seminole Apartments, 1444 W street, Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted 'm St. James' Episcopal Church, Eighth Street, between B and C streets north- east, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. George W, Atkinson will officiate. Interment will be in Arlington Ceme- tery, with military rites at the grave in “charge. of the Spanish-American War Veterans. At the outbreak of the Spanish American War, Mr. Rea, a native of the Capital, enlisted with Company C, 1st Regiment, District of Columbia Volunteers, which later became known as the Natfonal Fencibles, and served with the organization throughout its occupation of Cuba. He again enlisted with the District National Guard in 1918 for service in the World War. Long active in veteran organizations here, Mr. Rea was at one time chap- lain of Miles Camp, United Spanish War Veterans, in which he maintained membershl& and also belonged to the American Legion. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Sand Rea; two daughters, Miss Mary E. Rea and Miss Kathryn Rea; four sisters, and two brothers. " Deaths f.(eported.
