HYPOCRITE PLANS SHOWDOWN ONMUSELE SHOALS Norris to Demand Action on Power Project at Coming Session of Congress. By the Associated Press. A showdown on the long hattle over disposition of th: Shoals (Ala.) power proper attempted at the coming Congress by Senator Norris, Republi- can, of Nebraska, leader of the advo- cates of Government operation. Believing his issue has gained the relntroduction of his resolution authorizing sale of power by the Gov- ernment to States, counties and mu- nicipalitics, preferably under 10-year contracts. Adoption of this resolution would put the Government in contro! of the mammoth plant for another 10 years and get the question off the hands of Congress for the same period. He says successful operation of this plant proves it unfeasible to attempt to manufacture nitrate by waterpower. On this basis, he contends the Muscle Shoals property should be devoted en- tirely to power development. —_— Builder Goes Bankrupt.
