Shapiro-Katz Built HANNON: &LUCHY Exclusive Agents I Have to Lcave,,the City November 1 Will Sacrifice My House With or Without Furniture My business has taken a peculiar turn and I must go to Detroit for about two years. I hate the idea, for it means that I must dispose of my elaborately furnished home—just when it has really become home. " Frankly, I will practically give it away—furniture included, if you wish it—and when you see how it is furnished you'll understand my feelings. The house is semi-detached, English type, and is on a lot about 40 by’ 140 feet. Nine large sun-lit rooms with two baths (one with shower). Immense closets in each bedroom with a great big one in the hall—also a linen closet. Spacious kitchen and outside pantry. Large open fire- place in living room. Beautiful front yard nicely landscaped and deep back yard. Garage for one car off wide alley. House is exceptionally well built and has finest of fittings, hardwood floors throughout, of course, and modern bathroom fixtures, as well as Crane automatic water heater. Besides, I have installed a Gill Oil Burner with 275-gal. tank. had the house copper screened from top to bottom and from front to back and had Chamberlain weatherstripping put in all around. Here's how it's furnished. In the first place, I had an interior deco- rator come over from Baltimore to do the job. The living room is a dream. It contains just the right things in the right places and includes hand-carved sofa with linen frieze cushions and velvet back, velvet up- holstered love seat, wing chair of linen frieze wupholstery, taupe chenille rug with padding underneath, Bosch six-tube radio equipped with loud speaker and battery eliminator, all set in handsome, inlaid mahog- any cabinet. Then, there are other little things such as brass andirons, fireplace screen and full fireplace set, large oil painting, pictures. lamps with silk shades (bought from Dulin & Martin), tables, telephone stand and stately secretary of a period to harmonize with everything else. The sun parlor contains three beautiful upholstered pieces with hand- painted backs. The dining room suite is of hand-carved Spanish walnut. The suite, with the exception of the table (which was made to order), was im- ported. The rug is the same as in the living room—taupc chenille. All of our friends have simply raved over these pieces. The breakfast room contains a very attractive, dainty little set of hand-painted maple and the chintz shades add a lot to the room so that breakfast is really a cheery affarr. The draperies are the very last word, really, and I must say that the decorator did himself proud. I stopped at nothing when I furnished this house—got the very best—realizing that while I was doing it I might as well do it right. Of course, I didn't know that less than one year later I would have to give it up. On the second floor there are four bedrooms, .though I have used one of them as my den. These rooms arc all exceptionally large and are furnished in harmony with the downstairs part of the house—attrac- tive and in good taste. Runners on the stairs and in the hall on the second floor with padding underneath. And they match the rugs in the living and dining rooms. I'll even sell my dog. Buddy, a thoroughbred Boston Terrier, seven months old. Got him at the age of seven wéeks and have become greatly attached to him—such a playful, affectionate little fellow—but I won't be able to keep him in the apartment I'm taking in Detroit. It so happens that I'll need cash—and realizing this, I'm willing to take my loss and have put a price on the house and the furniture, and even my pup—that will bring quick action—for, as I stated before. I must take the Red Arrow to Detroit on November 1st—not later. It will take only five thousand dollars cash to get everything—except my den furniture and an ice box. Or. if you have your own furniture, I might consider sclling the house alone. The furnsture alone cost me around that price, and you'll not find a scratch on it, for only three of us have Tastcfu“y d €< o the living rooms, San- ias kitchen and Rcasonably priced. ot Mildred M. Hazare, occupied the house—my mother, father and I. The oil burner. 1319 N. Y. Ave. Every Effort Is Made to Meet the Financial Requirements of All Desirable Purchasers D. J. DUNIGAN, Inc Main 1267 weather-stripping and screens cost over nine hundred dollars. You'll want to see this house. You'll like it. I know you will. Every one with good taste will—and does. And I'm practically giving it away. I'll be home Saturday evening from 3:00 P.M. on and all day Sunday to meet you and show you through—and to talk business. G. G. Tauber, 3175 Porter St. N.
