NORFOLK, Va., November 26 (#®). —-James Gordon, master of the gas- oline tug Sparrow 111, and the barge Margaret Egan, seized by the Coast Guard July 12 with about 6,000 cases of liquor aboard the barge, was found gullty yesterday of violating the pro- hibition law. The jury was unable to agree in the cases of James Ryvan and John O'Rellly, who were charged with con- spiring_with Gordon. They denied knowledge of the liquor cargo. PITTSBURGH, Pa., November 26 UP)—Perfect reception marked a radio program broadcast by station KDKA last Saturday for God Haven, Greenland, it is announced by the Westinghouse Electric and Manufac- turing Co., which operates the station, A message telling of reception of the program was sent to the station by Dr. M. The addition of another quintet of radio broadcasting stations to the number of plants in operation in the United States was announced by the Department of Commerce. Chang: the wave lengths of six other stations also were announced. The new broadcasters of the week are widely scattered, with only one located in the East. Three are in the Middle West and one on the Pacific Coast. Fxcept in one instance all of the wave lengths choseit by the new- comers are below 300 meters and not expected to cause undue interfe ence with stations already on the al WLBF, SO he five stations are: Everett L. LONDON, November 26.—Cham- pions of the plan for the preservation of 19 old churches in the city of Lon- don, which are virtually without con- gregations owing to the migration in recent years of the resident popula- tion of the city, have heen successful.
