The checks were stolen while being forwarded to a special disbursing officer at the Phila- delphia Navy Yard and are numbered 2,001 to 3,000, inclusive, bearing the symbol number 18,161, Checks cashed varied in amounts from $85 to $161 and slx were drawn to the order of E.
