GERMAN BUILDERS VISIT HOMES HERE Prominent Architects and Engineers Studying U. S. Construction Methods. They were also amazed that a row of houses which im- pressed them very much could be erected in 60 or 90 days. They constantly remarked on the fact that praetically the humblest workman on the job arrived in his own car. “Nothing like that in Ger- many,” they declared. They explained that German regulations in many in- stances demanded more fire protection and exactness in construction. They were particularly impressed with the method here of putting in_electric lights, wirlng and pumbing pipes as the buildings progress. The party will make an extended tour of the large cities of the West and Middle West.
