Rocxegeller, jr., of New York, to pro- vide $10,000,000, to be used for the constriction of a new Egyptian museum of antiquities in Cairo, be- came known here last night with the publication of a cablegram to King Fuad, in which Mr. Rockefeller an- mouncés the withdrawal of his offer to avoid embarrassing the Egyptian government. The Egyptian government has not yet midde an official announcement on the matter. The newspapers publish the news along *with Prof. Jaumes H. Breas- ted’s correspondence with Premier Zi- war, thus lifting the veil of secrecy which! has surrounded the negotia- tions carried on by Prof. Breasted in behalf of Mr. Rockefeller. In atelegram to the premier, Prof. Breasted and V. erett Macy and Raymond B. Fosdick, as trustees, call- ed the. premier’s attention to the fact that & month had elapsed since they presented, though Prof. Breasted, doc- uments accepting without change all amendinents suggested by the Egyp- tian government. They had hastened to accept these amendments, they add- since Premier Ziwar had previous- Iy stated if his amended project were accepted, he would recommend it to the cabinet for approval. ATLANTA, April 29 (#).—Members of the Irish Horse Trader clans de- parted last night for their various soattered posts after observing their strange annual burial rites here yes- terday. Two members of the clans who dled during the past year were interred. Thelr bodies had been held in vaults for the occasion. The clans are Cath- ollc, and the rites of that church formed the ceremony.
