Many times I have seen it and most of the other famous harbors of the world. But, always I have come back proud to think that here in America, in balmy Florida, we have one of the earth’s most dclightful beauty spots.” I Am Building Another Winner in Which You May Share Millions of people have come to associate my name with the building of winning combinations. For this, I am deeply appreciative. I have worked with might and main to build great baseball teams for those whose interests I served. And I have had more than the usual amount of success—for which I thank those I have chosen to work with me. Today I am building something to last long after my ball teams are forgotten. I am building something to make the name of John J. McGraw stand for something permanently worthwhile. It is my hope that people in years to come will thank me for giving them the chance to find health, happiness and opportunity on the shores of matchless Sarasota Bay. Here I am building a beautiful community, Pennant Park, to be enjoyed not by a few stockholders, but by a thousand or two people who have confidence in me. Some will find health and pleasure here. Many will share in its recreational and social features. Many others will find unusual profits here. This is my hope and plan, and I believe that I have covered every possibility which assures success. I believe that Pennant Park is the greatest winning combination I have ever managed. All who know baseball, know how I took the New York Giants to city after city, searching for an ideal place to train. Finally I came to Sara- sota. I fell in love with the place. More than that, my boys usually went North in better physical trim than other teams and succeeded in getting the “jump”’ in the big league race. So I have come to share the belief that, people in Sarasota live longer, live healthier, enjoy life more fully than the people of most any other city in the country. The Winning Combination I Am Building For You In building a winner the first step is to pick the right people. My first move was to asociate with me Mr. A. S. Skinner of Sarasota. For several years I have been in a position to observe all the important developers in Florida, and Mr. Skinner is a winner. His judgment has been unerring, his ideas big, and his reputation most enviable. The finest type of citizens of Sarasota follow him implicitly. Follow a winner! Mr. Skinner and I looked over proposition after proposition before we picked the site of Pennant Park. We consider it iderl from every angle. It stretches along beautiful Sarasota Bay, between Sarasota and Bradenton. It is high and dry. From every part of Pennant Park your eye travels over the sapphire-blue waters of the Bay. It is beautiful property, and we were able to buy it right —which means a great saving to all who buy homesites or make investments in Pennant Park.
