BERLIN, January 2-—Frau Helene Lange, 77 years old, hus been elected honorary chairman of the Democratic party of Germany in recognition of her 45 years of campaigning for wom- an suffrage. Frau Lange is a veteran leader of the German feminist movement. She identified herself with the women's movement in the early eighties and soon became editor of Die Frau, the suffragist organ. Frau Lange is now writing her memoirs, which promise to throw much light on the struggle for de- mocracy in Germany. She lives in the fashionable W 1 of Berlin.
