ATLANTA, Ga., September The opening game of the Dixle bas ball champlonghip series was given last night as the cause for the failure of Atlanta voters to approve a $2,000,- 000 bond issue for erection of a new city hall. The election was held yesterday. Check of the votes today showed the bond proposal lacked 641 votes of a 25.— | majority. A campalgn In favor of a new city hall had been pushed vigorously here for the last two months by civic lead- ers. Voting was rather brisk during the morning hours yesterday, but the polls were practically deserfed after the Fort Worth and Atlanta teams crossed bats at Spiller Park.
