NEW YORK, September 15 (#).— Stock prices displayed a sharp reversal of form today, an early outburst of strength being followed by a sharp re action which ried many issues down 2 tv 3 points. BY GEORGE T. HUGHE:! Special Dispatch to The Star. NEW YORK, September 1 demonstration in the local traction issues was the principal feature in the bond market today. The leader in this group was New York Rallways 6s, which were dealt in in heavy volume, advancing more than a point. All the Interborough obligations were strong, the refunding Gs, both stamped and unstamped, belng bid up a point and the 6 and 7 per cent notes being in equally good demand. Rails Highly Irregular. Speculative rails were highly ir: regular. Denver and Rio Grande Western 5s had a sharp reaction amounting at one time to nearly three points before support was encoun- tered. Selling below 65 today, they were down 5 points from the high last week. Seaboard Air Line 6s, the old bond, sold above the price at which the new $10,000,000 additional issue was offered today. The new bonds were quickly taken. Chicago and Alton 3155, after a long period of inactivity, went up almost a point and there was @ better market for Interna- tivnal Great Northern adjustments. Losses in 0il Bonds. One or two of the domestic indus- trials were in good demand on their investment merit.
