Frocks and hats—what a thrill one gets in selecting them! And this season they seem to be just a bit more dehonair than usual, with a~dash and swing all their awn. Take the one sketched at the right—a Jumper Frock, with its short box upper of a rich brown velveteen, trimmed with gold kid applique, with high collar and long slecves also featuring this unique trimming. The skirt, with bodice top, is of & goldem beown [ crepe-back satin—the whole as charming and youthful as can be imagined. There is another similar frock of black velveteen and flat crepe skirt, trim=~ med with silver kid. The price, $29.50. Anather adorable little frock is carried out in a combination of plaids, with the vels veteew upper in Rus- sian blouse effect; the pockets, collar and long sleeves trimmed with the plaid gnd buttoned dawn the back. This is a belted madel, and is as chic and yeuth- - BRI, BRI ful as the schoolgirl herself. The price is the same—$29.50. There is always something new under the sun, although ane wonders how there could possibly be another unusual shape. The hat on the figure is the new combination of cut- out fur felt and velvet, with two stiff little fancies directly in frant. The other is a new Beaver Velour, with the Dutch Doll in front. The first one is $10; the Velour, $15. Hose and shoes play an important part, of caurse—one might al- most say the most im« portant part. My gwn enthusiasm bubbled over when | saw these newest of hose, with embroidered rosebuds on the pointed heels. They may be had in the two newest shades —Aluminum, a pretty light gray, and Rach- ette, a new shade of nude. They are the well known Kayser hose, all-over silk chiffon, sheer and daint, the slipper heel. at §3.50, There is such a host of new styles in shoes that it is simply a matter of individual taste. One of the most attractive for, the young is the black satin step-in pump sketched above. And the price is very reasonable—only $6.50. Various other new Fall styles may be had fram $6.50 to $10.50. And, speaking of dolls and flappers, here's the new Flapper Doll with the Happy Baby stabe. They've innocent biue eyes, curly blonde wigs, and completely made sateen bodies. Or, if ene prefers, here is the pensive Sheba, with long hair, [ a la Merode, who needs but a stone-set hair band with a cen- ter drop to make her a typical Oriental for- tune teller.
