Mrs. Catherine Scott, wife of the defendant, was in court today for the first time since the hearing began Monday. Charles Koeppe, a deputy told of a convers: which the latter ert did the shooting for which he was sentenced to death. George Rinner, another jailer, related a similar con- versation. Koeppe also told of a statement in which Scott admitted a gambling house hold-up in Chicago some months before the shooting, which netted him and his brother $4,500. Bruce McCullom said Scott told him that he faced the future with con- fidence because “he had a couple of governors working for him.” ACCUSED POLICEMAN SOUGHT AS FUGITIVE Tenleytown Officer Wanted on Charge of Blackmailing Couple in Auto. sheriff, His name carrfed on records of the Police Department as being absent without leave and records of the de- tective branch of the service as want- ed to answer a charge of blackmail, Paul T.
