b PRIGE OF LAMB CUT IN'LOCAL MARKET Fowls, Geese and Turkeys Also Cheaper—Beef Unchanged Today. Poultry dealers are unable to fore- cast probable prices for poultry for the Decoration day holiday outings. Spring chickens are always in de- mand, and it is believed prices for the approaching holiday will be high. ¥t is probable that many consumers will refrain from purchasing the ex- pensive Springers, fowls and turkeys being much cheaper. Should the market become glutted, however, prices may take a drop. Dealers expect a brisk market just prior to Saturday for the reason that large numbers of persons having cot- tages or bungalows in the mountain and river sections will want supplies for at least two days. Butter prices in the West advanced (& cent or more yesterday, but local dealers say the advance should not affect the local market, the change being only temporary. C, NEW YORK CURB MARKET Received by Private Wire Direct to The Star Office BY WILLIAM F. HEFFERNAN. NEW YORK, May 26.—Heavy real- izing sales were thrown upon the market in today’s session and had the effect of unsettling the entire list. But the buying power back of the market was sufficient to absorb all these offerings and after this was ac- complished the upward movement was resumed in some dizections. One of the outstanding points of strength was the further advance in stocks of companies engaged in the manufacture of electric refrigerators. This, no doubt, was in response to the announcement that a merger of sev- eral companies is being considered. Car Light and Power sold well above the 5 level, Nizer Corporation was NEW YORK, May 26.—Following is an official list' of bonds and stocks traded in on the New York Curb Market today: Sales in thousands. 1°Allied Pk 6a ... 71 Am Gas & 1 ds.. 17 Am Ieo'7a . 0 35 Am B0 & Li‘8a 59 Am P& L s 19 Am Sumat T 9 Am Roll Mill . - 13 Andean Nat s ... 8 Anaconda 6s .
