Dobbins, sr., 63 years old, long prominent in this city, and in- vestor in real estate and other enter- prises, died of heart disease in Emer- gency Hospital last night. Mr. Dob- bins became {ll while in a downtown office yesterday afternoon and died soon after reaching the hospital. Mr. Dobbins was a direct descendant of Chief Justice Marshall. He was the son of Willlam B. Dobbins and Mrs. Mary E. Dobbins, who was Miss Mary E. Marshall. He was born in Leonardtown, Md., but lived in Wash- ington nearly all his life. Mr. Dobbins, who lived at 1401 Gi- rard street, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thomas O'Brien of Hartford, Conn.; a son, Robert M. Dobbins, jr., of this city; four sisters, Mrs. H. F. Bell of New York City, Mrs. Mary A. Orme, Miss Sarah E. Dobbins and Mrs. J. T. Exniclos, all of Washington, and a brother, J. H. Dobbins, also of this city. By the Associated Press PASADENA, Calif., May 7.—Corde- nio A. Severance of St. Paul, Minn., former president of the American Bar Assoclation, died here yesterda; Born at Mantorville, Minn., in 1862, Mr. Severance entered the law office of the late Senator C. K. Davis, and in 1887 formed with Davis and Frank B. Kellogg, now Secretary of State, the firm of Davis, Kellogg & Sever- ance. As a member of this firm he won wide reputation as an authority on corporation law. He was president ogfl}he American Bar Assoclation *n 1921. Colored Man Found Dead. Harry Jeremiah Thomas, colored, 38 years old of 1230 C street southeast, was found dead in the yard in rear of the home of Mattie Brown, 1338 Har- rison avenue southeast, late last night.
