Immigrant Boys Meet Father Through Photo of Him. Special Dispatch ta The Star. NEW YORK, March 3.—With noth- ing but a pieture of their father for ldentification, two Italian boys of American birth were landed from the steamship Conte Verde and wers in the Itallan Immigrant Home yester. day. There they were claimed by Pasquale Balestriere of Brooklyn. The father had not seen his two sons—Vito, 13, and Rocco, 12—since the day their mother took them as babies back to Italy. As the boys grew older they said they wanted to return 0 the United ates, where they were born, to grow up and be- come American citizens. Their mother could not come with them because of the quota law. he had a photograph of the boys’ father made in the form of a political campaign button of immense size and piaced one each in thelr lapels. She told the boys not to go with anybody who claimed them In America unless they could identify that person as their father by the photo buttons. This they did and joyous reunfon fol- lowed. WIDE AMNESTY ASKED. Society Formed for Release of All Political Prisoners. NEW YORK, March 3.—An or- ganized movement to bring relief to and obtain the release of political prisoners of all countries was an- nounced by the newly formed interna- tional committee for political prisoners. The committee will seek to help all persons imprisoned for their po- litical views, said Roger N. Baldwin, temporary chairman of the commit- tee. Those believed to have partici- pated in political acts of violence will receive no assistance, he asserted.
