KNGS CONDTON REPORTED BETTER Official Bulletin Tells of Im- ‘provement—Prince Re- turns to Hunt. By the Associated Press. LONDON, February 18.—Improve- ment in the condition of King George, who is suffering from bron- chitis, Tollowing attack of influenza, is noted in an official bulletin issued from Buckingham Palace this morn- ing. The bulletin reads: “The King had a fair night. Though there is as yet no change in the bronchitis, the general condition of his majesty shows improvement.” The first official intimation that the King was indisposed was con- veyed in a bulletin issued Monday evening stating that he had a feverish cold and that his engagements for a few days had been celed. There was some mild anxie first, but the succeeding bulletins issued by Lis three physiclans from Bucking- ham Palace have allayed this feeling. Prince Leaves London. The Prince of Wales, who came to London yesterday from Melton Mowbray, his hunting headquarters, returned’ there last night. The Greek letter Masqnic college fraternities are the keystone of scholarship and the basic attributes of sincerity, declared Sidney C. Brown, Jr., president of the Natlonal Council of the Sigma Mu Sigma, before the Gamma Alpha Pi Fraternity members at the annual banquet of the organiza- tion Monday night at the Raleigh Hotel representihg members of the Johns Hopkins and Maryland universities. Six Months for Possession Is Held Excessive, JACKSON, Miss., February 18.—In an opinion handed down, Monday, the Mis- sissippi Supreme Court declared that a six-month_prison sentence for illegal session of liquor was excessive. ‘Red” Kitig and “Poodle” White were convicted. in Forest County of violation of the prohibition act and fined $500 and sentenced to six months' imprisonment. The Supreme Court affirmed the find- ings of fact and law, but ordered the case remanded for Imposition of a lighter sentence, holding that, while the fine would' stand, the prison sentence was excessive, and that three instead of six montlis should be imposed. J., February 18. —A report reaching here “that the mystery bride” of Lou Tellegen, actor and former husband of Geraldine Farrar, is Isabel Craven Dilworth, was confirmed here yesterday by Paul Koch, who sald he acted as attorney for the couple at the time of their marriage. Koch would throw no further light on the identity of the present Mrs. Tellegen, nor would he disclose the date and place of the wedding.
