By the Assoclated Press. NEW YORK, December 25.—Wil- liam H. Anderson, former State su- perintendent of the Anti-Saloon League, spent last night with his family at his home in Yonkers. Anderson was released from Sing Sing prison this morning on parole after serving nine months of a year's sentence for third degree forgery, was brought by detectives to New York, where he was admitted to $5,000 bail on four indictments charging grand larceny and extor- tion. These charges were preferred against him prior to his conviction, nearly a year ago, of causing a false entry to be made on the league books. When the formality of arranging bail had been completed, Anderson gave to reporters a statement, in which he asserted that his courage was “stronger and steadier” and that his faith “in God, who has sustajned me,” was firmer than ever. “Thfough suffering,” Anderson said, “He has lifted me up until my soul can look down on the hate and mal- ice of those who have wronged me. I have no interest in revenge except to save others from like treatment. And I have had leisure to think over constructive effort in that direction.” Anderson said he planned to spend a quiet Christmas at home, where his wife is 1ll. He intimated that he would have nothing further to say publicly until after New Year. FINDS RING IN TURKEY. PINE BLUFF, Ark, December 25.
