When an Ifugao wants to know what day of the month it is, he does not consult an almanac, but asks the “Tumunoh,” the clan astronomer, alendar Keepet and model husband- There are some 60 Ifugao clans ch has its “Tumunoh,” who is considered the most important per- sonage in the tribe.
