WALES IN FOX HUNT AFTER LATE DANCE Three Women Thrown, But None Is Hurt—May Attend Prize Fignt. By the Assoclated Press. SYOSSET, N. Y. September 11.—- For three and a half hours today the Prince of Wales rode to hounds, hold- ing a firm seat on a white horse which carried him over 12 rail fences, | took him over a score of ditches and over many miles of Loug lsland fields, it was all very J a dous succe s affirmed at the close, although no fox had been brought in. Standing on the porch of his holiday home at the James A. Burden house, he removed his black bowler, gave his sweating face and Grow a vigorous mopping, and as- sured Capt. A. F. Lascelles that he had enjoyed himself thoroughly. Start After Late Dance. The hunt, organized by the Meadow Brook Hunt Club, ~started at 5:30 o'clock, at which hour 30 women resplendent in the scarlet of followers of t port rode through the tumn morning to the he winding of the b croused th prince w peared on the s with Lascelles. H h kbaki riding habit sweater. It was a lively party, members of it had da the night at the Jericho home of Mrs. W. K. Vanderbilt, 2d, where the prince was guest of honor. Ghost, a landsome white hunter belonging to Harvey Ladew, was led out for the prince. He mounted, the master of hounds wound his horn and they were of Burd. ntsman's horn soon ap- Capt hnoss wore a yellow although all red late into Prince Smiles at Sport. The flashing red of the hunters, the zliding thoroughbreds, the baving of the eager hounds unlea: through underbr timber, whose dew-laden leaves glittered and flashed in the sun, brought a smile o the prince’s lips. He remarked to membe® of the party that it ery Septernber sport is homeland. Te was the well trained animals and the ability of the hunters to jump timber. Only once did Ghost disappoint his rider. This was when he refused a try at a fence just after he had skimmed gracefully over another pa ticularly high one. The roval rider urged his mount for a moment. but Wwhen the horse continued to hesitate the prince directed him around the barrier and continued the chase. called, in his impressed Plays Polo After Hurt. Three of the women were thrown, but none was hurt, although one was stunned for a few moments. The scent was bad today, apparently, for the hounds were unable to run down any one of a half dozen cubs. Despite his early rising and his strenuous exercising the Prince was| out again after a tub, rubdown and a light meal. He drove over to the | S. Phippis estate at 11 o' hirled into another of his Fames of polo. The hunt party included i Sparkes, Lord Airlie and Col. ton. No more was heard of the rumor this morning that the royal visitor had canceled his trip to Canada. Capt. Lascelles of the prince's suite said emphatically that the royal visitor will visit the Dominton, as previously arranged. Letters from feminine admirers of the British heir, ranging from pert sub-debs to stately dowagers, most of them requesting photographs and autographs of the prince, continued to arrive despite Capt. Lascelles’ an- nouncement that such requests can- not be complied with. The captain pointed out that if his royal high- ness acceded to these requests, he would have to spend much of. his time in signing his name. So these seekers of the royal picture or signa- ture will continue to be disappointed, for all they will receive is a form let- ter informing them that their re- Quests are denied. Visits Morgan Estate. The prince went yesterday to the estate of J. Pierpont Morgan, where J. Kelly, formerly [ furm in Norfolk, owned by the ce, showed him herd of Guernsey cattle. The princ who as Duke of Cornwall adminis” ters vast tracts of land, js much in- terested in live stock and has trans- ferred to his Alberta ranch some representatives of the best cattle strains of Cornwall. Preceding the visit to the Morgan estate the royal visitor had luncheon with Mrs. Harrison Williams at Glen Cove. In the evening he was the guest of Mrs. W. K.
