Miss Margaret Halsey Brewer, years old, daughter of the late Dr. | John Willlam Brewer, former sur- geon general of the Army, died at her residence, 505 Tulip avenue, Takoma Park, Md, yesterday. Death was ascribed to heart disease. Miss Bréwer taught in the high schools here many years. She was appointed as a teacher at Western High School in 1899 and taught there to Central High School. She was granted a leave of absence in 1923. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Emma J. Brewer, and a brother. Funeral services will be conducted at V. L. Speare's undertaking estab- lishment, 940 F street, Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery. L. M. THIBADEAU DEAD. Captain in Army Succumbs to Long Illness at Walter Reed. Capt. Louls M. Thibadeau, U. S. A., a veteran of the World War, died at Walter Reed Hospital Wednesday. He was 59 years old. Funeral services and interment, with military honors, will be in Arlington Cemetery this afternoon. Capt. Thibadeau was born in Fort Kent, Me., July 23, 1865. He was a Federal pay clerk from June 24, 1899, to July 16, 1916. He was commis- sioned a captain in the United States Quartermaster’'s Corps in February, 1918, and in August of that year was promoted to the rank of major and served until honorably discharged June 30, 1920. He was again commis- sioned and transferred to the finance department in the latter part of 1920. Prior to 1918 he had served as a sec- ond lieutenant, dating from 1915. He had served as finance officer of the southeastern department of the Army, at Fort Sam Houston, San An- tonio, Tex.; as a disbursing officer at Camp Wadsworth, 8. C, and as a finance officer at Atlanta, Ga., and also at Tientsin, China. He was sta- tioned at Fort Howard, Md., from 1921 to September 10, 1923, when he became ill. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nevada E. Thiebadeau; a young son and five brothers, J. F. and Baxter Thibadeau of this city and Charlie and Robert Thibadeau and another brother, all of Atlanta, Ga.
