A year ago Dr. White was removed from the pulpit of the Sixth Church because of difficulties that arose with presbytery. Te about a hundred members of the c gregation also withdrew and or- ganized the Highlands Community Church, which they specified should be Inon-denominational. Dr. White, who then was without a church, was fn- vited to become the pastor at a stated salary, and he accepted, it was ex- plained today by Ray Tv. Clarke, president of the board of deacons of the Community Church. Dr. White preached his last sermon at the Sixth Church May 13 of last year, and a munity Church. The Community Church embraces seven denominations in its congrega- tion, although holding to no sepcific . Its temporary headquarters Brightwood Masi . White, Mr. Clarke expla quested the letter to the C - tional Church in order to identi- fied with some one denomination. His contract with the Community Church expires next October.
