Washington, condemned the action on the part of the moving picture houses for refusing to show piotures of the national thrift committee on the soreen because they felt that it would cut down the attendance to plcture shows, at a banquet of the credit men in the Raleigh Hotel last night. A representative from a big busi- ness house in New York expressed himself in opposition to Thrift week. Mr. Talkes sald, because he felt that it would discourage people too much in the spending of money.
