CHURCH OBSERVES | S07H ANNIVERSARY Hamline M. E. Exercises to Begin Tomorrow, Continu- ing for Month. The fiftieth anniversary of the dedl- catlon of the present Hamline Church, Sth and S streets northwest, will be celebrated with exercises beginning tomorrow. Rev. Dr. C. L. Clark, chancellor of the American University, will speak. Tuesduy and Wednesday the women of the church will hold a bazaar, and Thursday evening will be "“Every Member Present Prayer Meeting.” An anniversary dinner will be given Fridey at 6 p.m., at which there will be a spectal program. November 25 will be a special an- niversary Sunday. Rev. Dr.,John R. Bdwards, district superintendent, 1s to preach the sermon at the morning service December 2. THREE SERVICES PLANNED Central Union Mission Announces Places and Hours. Thres services will be held by the Central Union Mission tomorrow. Th first one will be at the District work- house at Occoquan, Va., at 10:30 a.m, under direction of G. G. Kundahl, mission evangelist. Frazier to Address Takoma Park Church. Senator Frazier of North Dakota will address the evening service of the Takoma Park Baptist Church tomorrow, at 8 o'clock. His subject will be, *The Voice of the People.” The pastor, Rev. Willlam E. La Rue, will preside and introduce the speaker. This congregation is meeting tem- porarily in the bullding of the! The Woman's Missionary Soclety of Calvary Baptist Church will meet next Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in_ the adult room of the Sunday school house. Church South to Launch Fund Campaign. A new Sunday school house, to cost about $200,000, is to be erected by tho Mount Vernon Place M. E. Church South, adjoining its bullding at Sth and K streets and Massachusetts ravenue northwest. A meeting of the official board was held Wednesday night, at which plans were made to launch a campalgn to secure funds for the erection of the Sunday school bullding. It was’an- nounced several subscriptions already have been made and each member of the board 1s to act as a captain of a team to sollcit additional subscrip- tions. | In the new building it is proposed to have, astde from the class meeting room, other rooms for every depart- ment of the school. There is to be a fully equipped gymnasium, as well as space for the dally vacation Bible school, musle department and social center. When the bullding is completed it is planned to make alterations to the main church, which will greatly in- crease the seating capacity of the auditorfum. —_— REVIVAL IS STARTED.
