DOORN T00 SUALL - FOR KAISER'S FAMILY & Probable Leass of Vills et Fash-| ionable Resort for Use of Absentee PBride. T BY GEORGE WITTE. By Cabdle to Tne Star and Chicago Daily Ny Coy t, 1928, Doorn castle is Eetting too small for the Hohensol- lern family since the ex-kalser's hervous breakdown and Hermine's separation from him, which began a few wecks ago and will continug in- definitely. It is now learned from a trustworthy source that Count Ben- tinck, the ex-kaiser's friend and his host at Amerongen, ‘opened negoua- tions a fow days ago for the lease of & villa this summer in Holland's most fashionable seaside resort, Noordwyk ann Zee. i - N The villa belongs to the ex-Kaiser's friend, Dr. Weissmann, who uséd ‘to be chief of the imperial secret serv- ice and is now commissioner of pub- lo safety. As neithér Holland nor the allled governments will permit the former emperor to exchange the Barrow confines of his exile for the Wide publicity and amusemepts of Noordwyk, it is surmised that Coynt Bentinck is acting on behalf of Heér- Inine, Who wishes to keen away ffom Boorn as much as possible, but At the same time wishes to avold the ?uhllc scandal which would be'caused f she doserted the ex-emperor en- tirely and remained in Germany. By returning to Holland in a few weeks and spending the summer at Noordwyk “for her. children's sake" appearances can be kept up to a oertain extent.
