The street car, gas and electric light companies of Washington are prepared for the railroad strike if it should come to pass. An inquiry conducted today revealed that all of the public service cor- porations of the city have stored up substantial coal reserves. Wwilllam F. Ham, president of the Washington Railway and Electric Company and the Potomac Electric Power Company, said he has approxi- mately 10,000 tons of coal at the Ben- ning power plant, which is ample to keep the plant in operation for three l| | weeks.
