Tue Washington Rapid Transit Company announced today that it will inaugurate a new bus line tomorrow through the Monument grounds to the extremity of East Potomac Park, for the benefit of Washingtonians who do not own autemoblles. The new line will provide service to the tidal basin, bathing beach. the golf links, the poio grounds and Hain { Point. across the river from the arsenal and steamboat wharves. Machines leave the south end of the Tre every thirty minutes from § am. to 9 p.m.” The last bus will leave Halns Point at 9:30 p.m. The fare will be 25 cents a round trip or 15 cents one way. Children over five years of age must pay full fare. Special busses will go to the bathing beach and golf links at 6, 7 and 8 o'clock in the morning. RIFLE TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS Crack Marksmen of 3d Corps Area R. 0. T. C.—Drill Honors Captured. Defeating the crack marksmen from & dozen colleges in this section, the l| Georgetown University rifie team was declared the champion of the 3d Corps area of the R. O. T. C.. accord ing to announcement made from head quarters, at Fort Howard, Md., today. In addition to the rifle’ team's vic- tory the R. O. T. C. unit at George- town won the champlonship for the third area. The winning team scored 93.70 points out of a possible 100, Pennsyl- J| | yania State College being second with 91.70. In the mass gallery match Georgetown scored 57.20 points, St John's College, Annapolis, being sec- ond with 53.46. Company A, commanded by Cadet 1| Capt. J. Fuller Morgan, won the high- est honors in the competitive drill of the Georgetown R. O. T. C. battalion yesterday afternoon. Col. W. C. River: commandant of Fort Myer, the re- viewing officer, presented the colors to Capt. Morgan. The honor of being the best drilled man in the battalion went to Godwin Ordway, jr., a Washington boy. Gold wrist watches were presented on behalf of the Washington Chamber of Commerce by President Albert H. Shul- teis to the four cadets_showing the greatest efficiency in all branches during tho year.
