Charies Alfred DeArnaud, best known as Count DeArnaud. DeArnaud, who {s a Russian, cliims to have served Gen. Grant as a spy during the rebellion, and to have furnished the information which led to the capture of Paducah, Ky. For remuneration for his service he has been urging a large claim against the gov- ernment for years, without success.
