There is a liko unanimity among the republi- cans for President Harrison's renomination. The party is almost a unit for him. General Alger has a few friends in Kansas among the ty lenders. but they recognize the fact that rison's administration is indorsed by four- fifths of the party. The convention to elect delegates to the Minneapolis convention will be held at Hutchinson , when a solid dele gation for the President's renomination will be chosen. Since the Blaine letter declining a nomination the repubiicans of Kansas have turned to Harrison, and no one but Blaine could get the delegation away from him. ‘THE PEOPLE'S PARTY. The people's party leaders are preparing to make a vigorous fight in Kansas and, in fact, in all the northwestern states. Sentiment for candidates on their national ticket is not yet erystalized, but what talk there is is largely for Weaver and Polk as the party leaders. Information has been received here that Iowa ‘and Nebraska will be for Weaver and Polk, and it is probable that Kansas will join them.
