This afternoon he offered the following resolu- tion, which was sont to the Senate District committee: “Whereas for the last three fiscal years, 1989, 1890 and 1891, the aggregate sum of 23,654,262.45 hasbeen appropriated by Congress for the im- provement of the streets, avennes, alleys, &o., of the District of Columbia, to wit: 1. For work on sundry streets, avenw 2, For repairs to concrete pavements, kc. 3. For grading streets, alleys and roads, &c. 4. For current work of repairs of | streets, avenues and all ‘or current work of repairs on county roads and suburban streets. 6. For constructing county roads and suburban etreets, &e. 7. For condemnation of strects, roads and alleys. 8. For permit work on alleys, sidewalks and sewers, &c. 9.
