A DRArINnacE QuEstION DectpEp.—In reply to an application of the owners of the property known as Le Droit Park, to connect the sewers of that park with the city sewer on 6th street, the Board of Public Works directs that as these Sewers are 12-1nch pipes, and located in the al- leys of the squares near Boundary street, and as the Le Droit Park sewers are to drain a con- siderable area of ground, it is not advisable to make the desired connection; that it will be ne- cessary for the accommodation of that park to construct @ 30-inch sewer along Boundary st. toconnect with the main sewer on Ist street northeast; and this should be done at the ex. pense of the property outside the city limits, for the benefit of which it may be exclusively built. ——o¢—__. The schooner Walter Jones arrived from Norfolk with 101,000 feet lumber for Jos. and J.E. Libbey, and the schooner Newport, from Saulsbury, Md., with 90,000 feet lumber for Wheatly Bros. Brooks and Henry Carter, just beyond the canal locks, knocked down and beaten till he was al- most insensible, and then robbed of all the money he had'about him, $125. Joxes says there was athird party with the thieves, who ran off when they made the attackon him. The two robbers were arrested iterday and brought before the police co this morning, where, after undergoing an exammation, they were sent on for indictment by aah romney jury.
