At nigh‘ Mickey anda Richmond “knuck,” named w. Smutb, were identified by a colored man named W.H_ Orr. as thetwo men who were larking about Wilson's shoe store, on Pennsylvania Avenue, between 19th and 2th streets, which was robbed of a large amount of goods on the Thursday night previous. These two were sent to jail for a bearing in this case by Sup't Richards. The companion of Mickey and Smith at Rigg’s Bank was Albert Wise, alias “Sheeny Al,” who is suspected of oj rating slong with Scottie, an English “knuck,”- who bas left for the South, on the street cars and auction stores, wasaiso arrested, and the Sn- perintendent sent him to jail also for hearing. The pockets of some folks are safe for afew days at least. — Tae Crttixe axp Matwrnc Case.—This Toorhing, the case of Howard Cansely, who stands charged with sesauit, with intent to kill Lewis W. Thomas, g and maiming bim with a sazor December, 1805, was called for bearing by Justice Thompson. On the day of arrest Cansely was held to bait in $60 for his appearance yesterday. The parties appeared, and the case was further postponed until this morning, to await the arrival of a witness, who appeared and testi- fied, and Justice Thompson sent the case to court. The fmets related by the witnesses are that the parties met on the street and hada quarrel about the collection of a debt. Thomas advanced upon QOnusely and struck at him. ‘Causely drew a razor from his pocket and in- ficted a very ugly wound across Thomas's headland face.
