16 - .THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7, | A&A CARD. — LECTURE COU 9th Season. SEASON RSE. TICKET, INCLUDING RESERVED SEAT FOR : 10 ENTERTAINMENTS, $1, $2, $8, $4, ACCORDING TO LOCATION. SOLD AT CENTRAL MUSIC HALL : BOX OFFICE, “FOR | WEEK OWLY, Commencing one week from To-morrow Morning, viz. Monday, Noy. 15, and closing Saturday Night, Nov. 20. ‘| abandoned because thereywa ! \ 1880—SIXTEEN' PAGES Four years ago the'plan of having annually a series of Star Entertainments, for which Season Tickets were sold, was necessarily no p ace centrally located in which they could be given; but now that a Hall has been eregted, perrect in i i cessi i i ike pleasure in ‘all its appointments, easily accessible from all parts of the city, and therefore admirably adapted for. such a purpo se, I tal sndonaeag thatI have completed aranpenecte for the revival of the Star Course, in the organization of which I have aimed to vary the monotony of the old-fashioned Lecture Course, consisting of Lectures alone, by introducing. Miscellaneous Entertainments, so that the varied tastes of the amusement-loving public may be equally well pleased and satisfied. The pleasure with which I once again renew those intimate and cordial relations that sprang up during twelve years of friendly in- tercourse between manager and tron, will be shared, I trust, by the thousands who gave me such gencrous support during those eight memorably successful seasons of Star Course Entertainments. And in announcing my plans for the Ninth Season of the Star Course, it is with the full assurance that not only all its old patrons will gladly meet together in the corfortable, cheerful, and commodious Audi rium, which, after years of arduous labor, I have, through the iberality of public-s; ited citizens, finally secured for them; but with these veteran attendants will assemble a group of new friends eager to-ajd me in my effort to annually present our public, at the min- imum of cost, the maximunn of instructive entertainment. This idea, which was the inspiration of the preceding Star En- tertainments, I have endeavored to express more fully in the artangemsnts for the present season. For this series of Ten Entertainments, the mere announcement of the Artists and Lecturers engaged will make it apparent to al! i x iT lal in organizing a Star Course which will equal in point of excellencs, if not excesd, any Course H Unto cients ner eer One a eh will be worthy of that cheouragement and patronage from the public which most gratefully acknowledge; and in order that these Entertainments may be within the reach of the humblest student, as well as those possessed of- means tg avail themselves of every oppartunity for knowledge and recreation, I have decided to place the price of tickets for the entire Course at"Sr, S2, $3, and $4, according to location, so that the fortunate possessor of a Season Ticket may be able to select and reserve his seat for the entire season, in.an auditorium where there are no poor seats, at the unusually low price of 10 cents, 20 cents, 30 cents, and 40 cents each Entertainment. 3 Under such favorable auspices, and at such low prices, there is every reason to believe that the sale of Season Tickets will be limited only by the capacity of the Hall, and those who contemplate securing tickets should be careful to remember the date when the Box-Office opens. That the public may have the least possible inconvenience in selecting seats, I have, at great expzns2, prepared and inserted in the STAR MAGAZINE, many thousand copies of which will be freely circulated through the city, } each floor of the Central Music-Hall, together with the plans of several of the theatres and halls in the city, makigg a valuable boo! of reference to the purchasers of tickets. With the aid of this book, one can determine at home the seats he desires to secure, and thus avoid the annoy ance of personally standing in line at the ‘Box-Office, or a lengthy examination of the box sheet. } The sale of seats will begin at the Central Music-Hall Box-Office on MONDAY MORNING, Nov. at g o'clock, and Season Tickets will be sold only during the week of November 15th. Therefore, privileges afforded by bsing a Season-Ticket holder must rem=mber that Season Tickets will absolutely Oth, and thereafter only tickets for the separate Entertainments can be obtained, at grealy CEO.
