TRIBUNE SCRIBE ASKS IN PLAY ON “SCOOP” “Kidding the Kidders,” would be an appropriate title for an impromp- tu farce comedy staged at police headquarters today with Lee Craft, state law enforcement officer, and the Tribune representativ playing the chief roles with members of the city’s dtective force for the audience. The plot for the skit was furnish- ed by the facts in connection with the Rialto Theater holdup on Sun- day night when J. Schulte, own- er, M. H. Todd, manager and Clar- ence Chidly, employe of the theater were bound, gagged and robbed of pproximately $3,000, by two daring nits. The victims of the holdup report- ed to police that the guns poked in thetr faces by the bandits, were extremely large and cruel looking bersuaders. The reporter entered sanctum sanctorum of the sleuths and asked Lieut. Ray Ideen, in charge of the case, if there had been any new developments toward solving the sterlous holdup. Since that time he has been arrested seven times and booked on vari- ous charges of inebriation, petty larceny and investigation, The “record shows that Lewis's only worldly possessions at the time of his arrest were $1.50 In currency and a bunch of keys. Lewis ts in a bored mood at police headquar- ters awaiting trial, jail being an old experience for him. Jack Ronald was also arrested by Officer Baker last night at 1221 West Thirteenth street and is booked on a charge of being a suspicious character and carrying concealed weapons. A revolver known in police parlance as a “Saturday night gun” was found in Ronald possession.
