SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1925 Che Casper Daily Tribune PAGE THREE TTT H ati SN Koa i Mt i The Magic City of the North Platte V alley ~ CASPER, WYOMING The activities of the Casper Chamber of Commerce touch and affect the lives and wel- fare of the entire community. In many instances the activities of this Chamber affect prac- tically every community in the State. An industrial center, we produce very little of the foodstuffs that we consume and naturally the agricultural communities of the State look to Casper to buy the products of their farms and ranches. The agricultural communities, spurred on by their County Agents and other far-sighted leaders, plan to organize Coopera- tive Marketing Associations, and plan to study packing, grading and shipping to the end that Wyoming products will equal or excel in quality similar products marketed in Casper, shipped in from surrounding states. : The Chamber would continue to stress the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation, with all communities of the State. As we identify ourselves with other commu- nities assisting them with their problems of development, we are sure to have the assistance and cooperation of progressive communities in the State toward working out the develop- ment in which we ag a community are primarily interested. There is necessity to apply business methods if good results are to be obtained. At all times'there is constant need for vigilance, for care in the many important enterprises fostered by the Casper Chamber of Commerce in dealing with the practical side of civic endeavors. To make Casper bigger and better is not altruistic---it’s good business, that’s why the Casper Chamber of Commerce is interested in the production and refining of oil and the mar- keting of the refined petroleum products, in irrigation, the sheep and cattle industry, mining, agriculture and the marketing of farm products, the meat packing industry, the beet sugar industry, the wholesale and jobbing business, and non-discriminatory freight rates. A com- munity building, parks and playgrounds, adequate water, sewerage and garbage disposal sys- tems, are also considered good business for progressive communities. Of course Casper is-Progressive! It isa growing city that has won world-wide recogni- tion for its industrial and commercial position, also for its civic pride. Let our people hold steadfast their vision of a boundless but healthy growth and ex- pansion, the heritage of that spirit of courage, determination and loyalty which marked the activities of the pioneers. . Let us not overlook the importance of keen civic spirit. Chamber of Commerce of Casper, Wyoming
