Though considerably the youngest of 10 great automobile com- pan‘es credited with building 85 per tirely and cent of the country's total annual output the Nash Motors company is today on a production scale almost balf again as large as the entire volume of the industry in 1907. In reviewing the record of the company, President C. W. Nash pointed with pride to the fact that although the start was made August 16, 1916, scarcely six months prior to our en- trance into the world war, neverthe- less the company’s,advancement dur- ing the elapsed eight years has been one of the most brilliant industrial annals “Our output the first 15 months,” said Mr. Nash, ‘‘was 12,179 cars and trucks as contrasted with a produc tion the eighth year of close to 57,- 000. Value of the colume in dollars and ¢ents for this last year was four times as great as that of the initial 15-month period. Another way of illustrating the size to which Nash annual business has grown is by contrasting it with the figures for Canada For example the total value of all motor cars built {n Canada in 1917 was about 10 per cent less than the value of the Nash output for its eighth y n business. A glance at the payroll record provides another matic picture of the rapidity with sh Motors campany has 4 which the 2 forged te front rank of the-coun- try's lary iployers of labor. These nd for include the Advanced Six plant at Kenosha, the Special Six plant at Milwaukee, and the Seaman com- plant at Milwaukee, one-half interest in which is owned by the ors company, and which fs devoted to the fabrication of Nash enclosed bodies. The total and area now aggregates 157 acres, and the total floor space under roof runs over 2,800,000 square feet, These figures do not embrace the large additional plant capacity and floor space of the Ajax Motors com- pany at Racine, Wisconsin, which ts a subsidiary organization entirely owned by the Nash Motors company. The first financial statement of the Nash Motors company showed total resources of $7,000,000 while today the figue has swelled to nearly. $4! 000,000. All told during these 8 yea: there have been built more than 250,- 000 Nash cars and trucks with an aggregate value rising $310,000,000. In respect to liquid financial condt- tion Nash now leads all automobile companies for an analysis shows that the Nash ratio of current assets to total assets is 76 21-100 per cent while Ford, the next highest, has but 64 42-100 per cent. ~~ Automotive Melting Pot (Continued from Page One) Moving day is in order at the Cut ord store in the New Public Market tod The company will pick ap bi baggage, and inner tubes and ease over to the Dortheast corner of ond and Beech, where they will take the name of the Yel- lowstone Auto Supply co., and will continue to give the same old ser vice and the ne old quality upon a bigger scale, The management of one of Casper leading accessory houses may the upmost in good will and best wishes for the future from the Tribune automobile department. ‘The expansion of the any fur glaring exam what conscientious regular per advertising will do for a comparatively small business How many of you good drivers can sit beside another fellow while he's driving your car and feel any: ‘thing but like the old maid who sat on the needles and. pins for punishment?
