Because of the fact that I have made an honest at- : tempt to bring George S. Massee before the qualified elec- tors of Natrona County and show them that he is the one desirable candidate for the office of Sheriff, because of the fact that I have successfully campaigned the county to such an extent that the election of George Massee is al- most assured, because of the fact that I have had common ‘decency and horse sense enough to look out for the in- terests of George Massee (the man who has been treated so shamefully by the crooked politicians of this county), and because I have been alert enough not to allow any im- ported political crooks to steam roller their way into the Sheriff's office, I have been confronted with the last re- sort of crooked politics, BRIBERY. ‘Alexander Nisbet realizing that clean politics and ° fair play could not win the Republican nomination for himself resorted to the only eleventh hour tactic known by men of his ilk, to-wit, BRIBERY. On the seventh day of August a man came to Casper from Denver, for the purpose of seeing Jack Jones. Mr. Jones, being in Denver at that time, this man immediately returned to Denver, telling Mr. Jones that he represented ‘Alexander Nisbet, and that he wanted to make-some ar- rangement whereby Jack Jones would use his influence ~ to pull me out of the campaign in Natrona County. When Jones told him he would have to see me first, this man said: “We can make you any kind of a proposition that you want. Rest assured that Fuller won’t give you a dime.” Jones, however, insisted that he must discuss the matter with me. Jack Jones returned to Casper the Che Casper Sunday Cribune eleventh day of August and was immediately besieged by Nisbet to get rid of me and make a trade. Jones told Nisbet that the only trade that I would make was that he,. Alexander Nisbet, would withdraw from the race. ~ Nisbet insisted that he see me and have a talk with me. The morning of Saturday, August the sixteenth, Nis- bet went to the home of Jack Jones and lad Jones call me over the phone. Jones called me and then I went imme- diately to Jack Jones residence where I found Nisbet waiting. I told Nisbet at this meeting that he had no trade to make. Later the same day, Nisbet called Jack Jones over the telephone in an attempt to get me to come to his residence. When I refused to do this Nisbet discussed with Jack Jones the possibility of paying me to leave town during the primary election. My answer to you, Alexander Nisbet, is that you and all your kind haven’t money enough to bribe me, and I am confident that citizens of Natrona County will an- swer you likewise on August the nineteenth, and just to show you how confident we are, we hereby invite the en- tire public to Riverview Park at Mills, Monday night, to help us celebrate. We extend an invitation to all. We have the best music in this end of the country, plenty of confetti, serp- entines and bales of rubber balloons. Mr. Massee wants all his friends to come and wants these friends to bring their friends. EDGAR FULLER. Campaign Manager for Massee. BR yor ig is a : : (Political Advertisement) i
