E. A. Slack, editor,!or the late F. W. Angier, raflway passenger agent—is no question, after all, ac@prding to W. EH, Chaplin, veteran newspaper worker, who, after delving into the history of local wild-west celebra- tions, announces that B. W. Whit- comb, a pioneer horseman of Chey- enne, originated the Frontier Days celebration fdea in 1872, a quarter of a century before the show in ar- ranging which Slack and Angler co-operated and which since has been repeated annually as “Frontier Days."
