$ DEBT ADJUSTMENT | BY AGREEMENT I$ NEW BOARD'S AIM Rehabilitation Employes will] Assist County Group in Liquidation Program _—_—__ | A satisfactory liquidation of mort- gages and other debts through a friendly. get-together of debtor and creditor is the job ahead of the Bur- leigh county debt adjustment board as outlined here Thursday by O. Leonard Orvedahl, field man from the regional office of the resettlement division. Speaking before the first regular meeting of the debt board, Orvedah] outlined the procedure to be followed in the liquidation which will be done with the assistance of the local and district rehabilitation employes. Obert Olson, chairman of the county board, said that through bet- ter understanding between debtor and creditor interests, similar committees in other counties and other states have often avoided the hardship of foreclosure, saved expensive suits, prevented abandonment of farms and retained valuable citizens in their communities. “We hope to do the same thing here,” he said.
