Tollefson, 522 Sec- ond 8t., radio chairman for the eighth district, has announced that the broadcast hour has been changed permanently from 10:30 to 10:45 o'clock on Wednesdays to 10 to 10:15 o'clock on Thursdays. The program by Miss Fritch will include “Siciliano” by Bach, arranged by Spencer; “Valse in A” by Rach- maninoff, lay Night” and “Cradle Song” by Palmgren and “Rush Hour in Hong Kong” by Chasins. Mrs. A. M. Christianson, 1005 Fifth St., member of Minishoshe chapter, Daughters of the American Revoltion, will speak on “What Is the D. A. R.?” for the Thursday, Feb. 15, program. ‘The patriotic subject has been chosen for presentation between the birth- days of Lincoln and Washington fall- ing on Feb, 12 and 22, respectively. xk * White Elephant Party To Benefit San Haven As a benefit for the Degree of Honor cottage at San Haven, the local unit will sponsor a white elephant party as its February social meeting Thurs- day evening at 8 o'clock at the Ameri- can Legion Auxiliary room, World ‘War Memorial building. All members are asked to bring some article suitable for the sun room of the cottage. The ways and means com- mittee chairman requests that mem- bers who have finished their quilt blocks bring them in. Cards will be the pastime during the evening and will be followed by guctioning off of sack lunches. A 10- cent limit has been set for the lunches which are to be brought by each mem- ber. Coffee will be served by the host- ess committee, which includes Miss Gertrude Eichhorst, chairman, Mrs. Edward Davis and sah Gerald Craig. * * Nonpartisan Society Gives Dancing Party ‘The Auxiliary to Women’s Nonpart- fsan Club No. 1 met Tuesday evening at the World War Memorial building for a business meeting and program which were followed by a dancing party for members and their guests. E. M. Wallrich sang two negro songs end then demonstrated his ability as one-man band, playing at one time the harmonica, guitar, piano and ¢crums. He played his own guitar accompaniment for his songs. Miss Germaine Heinze entertained with a reading, “My Country Tish of Thee.” Several tap dances were given by Miss Grace Alice Steiner. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing to music played by the Misses Myrtle Buchanan and Mabel Culver and Herman Peters and Mr. Wallrich. Announce Marriage of Former Bismarck Man ‘Word has been received by friends here of the marriage of Floyd H. Rolf to Miss Eunice Gillham which took lace at Merritt, Ill, Tuesday. Jan. 3. Mr. Rolf, a 1923 graduate of Bis- marck high school, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Rolf who left Bismarck ebout six years ago to make their home at Merritt. The bride was a teacher in the Merritt community before her marriage.
