' NO ATTEMPT TO STOP HER Mrs. Pankhurst Leaves England for " France. London, Dee. 12.—Watched by Scot- land Yard detectives, who made no attempt to stop her, Mrs. Emmeline Pankhurst. militant suffrage leader, out of jail on a week’s “cat and mouse” license, left for Paris, where she will visit her daughter Christo- bel. She was taken from “General” Flora Drummond’s “citadel” in Lin- coln Inns to Victoria station in an ambulance, closely guarded by deter- mined suffragettes. From the ambulance a stretcher bore her to a sleeping car of the boat train for Dover. On the same train were King Alfonso and Queen Vic- toria of Spain, returning’ home from a visit to King George and Queen Mary. | Technically Mrs. Pankhurst will be a fugitive from justice at the end of the week, but it is known that the home office will not molest her as long as she remains out of England. _— BREATHE FAEELY!
