Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy. No one who is acquainted with its good qualities can be sur- prised at the great popularity of Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy. It not only cures colds and grip effectually and permanently, but prevents these diseases from re- sulting in pneumonia, It is also a certain cure for croup. Whoop- ing cough is not dangerous when this remedy is given. It con- tains no opium or other harmful substance and may be given as confidently to baby as to an adult. It is pleasant to take. ~ When all these facts are taken mto consid- eration it is not surprising that people in foreign lands, as well as at home, esteem this remedy very highly and very few are willing 0 take any other after having once used it. PRIDE OF WALKER Big Sanatarium for Con- sumptives To Be One T00- EXPENSIVE. Seven Hundred Acres of Land Have Been Purchased For The Institution. The cottage plan proposed for the construction of the sanatar- ium for consumptives, to be erected on the site recently se lected by the commission of physicians appomnted by the gov- ernor, has been abandoned as too expensive, and instead of a num- ber of small cottages one large building will be erected. As originally proposed, the in- stitution would have consisted of half a dozen cottages located on a wooded site of 700 acres, re- cently purchased on the banks of Leech lake, near Walker. Present plans call for a large building, three or four stories high, capableof accomodating be- tween 200 and 300 patients at one time. The building will be erect ed ona high ridge, 200 feet above the level of the lake—which is it- self 1,320 feet above the level of the sea—in the midst of a grove of pine trees. These conditions are conceded to be ideal for the treatment of consumptive pa- tients. An appropriation of $100,000 was requested for the coastruc- tion of the institution from the last legislature, but only $25,000 was allowed. Of this sum the commission has expended $8.000 for the purchrse of a site of 700 acres and several thousand dol- lars will be expended shortly for clearing away the underbrush on the site and for the removal of timber from the site selected for the building to be erected. Itis the intention of the commission to ask the legislature this winter foranadditional appropriation of Close of Lake Season. The lake season: is now prac- tically ended, Capt, McLaugh- lin still has the Moose in com- mission, however, hauling wood from the head of the lake, but the boat will be put in dry dock for the season within two weeks.
