Charles Dickens was voted the fa- Worite author by an overwhelming mumber of students in a contest con- ducted by the New York University News. “A Talo of Two Cities” is the most popular book, voted so by 210 students. Victor Hugo's “Les Miserables” re- @elved the second largest voto, 160. “The Ttireo Musketeers" was third, and the Bible was fourth, with 90 votes. Shakespeare's “Macbeth” and “If Winter Comes,” by Hutchinson, tied for fifth place. O. Henry was voted the most popu- lar author next to Dickens.
