One of Geraldine Farrar's two fi- nal porsormances at the Metropolitan will be made in ‘‘Carmen"’ next Mon- day afternoon in a benefit for the New York City Visiting Committee of the State Charities Aid Association, The same evening the Beethoven Association will give the sixth and last concert of its series, the follow- ing artists taking part. George Ham- lin, Michel Plastro, Ernest Hutcheson, Franz Kneisel, Louis Svecenski, Em- meran Stober, L. lb. Manoly and H. old Bauer. By Frank H. Warren. Mozart's “Cosi fan Tutte,” or “So do they all,” one of the belated de- Nights of the opera season, was sung again at the Metropolitan last eve- ning. The same cast that so success- folly interpreted this work at is first American performance a week or so ago was in action last evening. It comprised Mmes, Easton, Peralta and Bori, and Messrs. De Luca, Meader and Didur. The audience seemed captivated by the clever interpreta- tions of the artists who have such an unlooked for grasp of Mozart's style; by Mr. Urban's novel acenic produc- tion; by Mr. Bodanzky’s conducting, and Mr. Thewman's stage directing. Perhaps nobody else has yet directed attention to Paul Bisler’s playing of the clayicembalo, and there may have been here and there in the audience an unfortunate who did not know the nature of a clavicembalo, The Mendelssohn and University Glee Clubs, for the first time in their histories, will give a joint concert next Tuesday evening at the Metro- politan Opera House. The proceeds will be devoted to the Vassar College Salary Endowment Fund. Rosa Pon- Belle, of the opera forces, will be the chief soloist. ‘Another glee club, one that has not only a home-made but also a Euro- pean reputation, viz, Harvard, will give its annual concert in Carnegie Hall next Monday night.
