Oct. 18.—John Reed, magazine writer, is dead in Moscow, Russia, of typhus, according to a telegram received here by Henry @. Reed, a brother, from Louise Bry- ant, Reed’a widow, Reed had made several visits to Russia during the Soviet regime.
