Flot Spot and Ram’ s-horn HAVE LIFTED CHALMERS to the Peak of Efficiency [Steve eee rtage in sup} down in ly the world pot rch chin cl revolutionary . Hot Spot and Ram’s-horn. They have lifted Chal mers to the very peak.of efficiency. They get amazing power out of low grade “pa? When: the raw “gas” strikes Hot Spot this device transforms it into a “cloud,” very much like a drop of water striking a hot stove. This “cloudy” condition makes just the right fuel for the engine. Now the task is to get it quickly to the engine chambers for ignition before it can con or “grow rainy.” ge is er Ram’ ony forms heroic basta ‘se has no 8 corners for ” to ea is ris: Re in length, and the defectey with whitch “p _ ‘Waves rs “tunnel” is estimated at one hundred per hour. The results are two-fold. You get power with rare smoothness, You seldom experience such difficulties as fouled spark plugs, burned bearings, scored cylinders and-the like, because “raw gas” cannot trickle down past the pistons _ thus “cut” the lubzi- cating oil in the crankcase, ’ These efficiency results have added to the impression that Chaliers is one of the few great cars of the world. Buffalo Stewart Trucks Cost Less To Run Many owners tell us that their “Stewarts” cost about 20 per cent. less to run than other trucks they have used. This gratifying result is due to Stewart simplified design, which eliminates hundreds of needless parts, giving you a simpler and stronger truck, The tire mileage of the Stewart is really wonderful—gasoline and oil consumption is low. The repair shop is almost a stranger to the Stewart. $200.00 to $300.00 less than the aver- age price of other trucks. Buy a Stewart and join the big family of thousands of, satisfied Stewart users. ALL SEASON CARY || Iwo cars for the price af‘Gne - Immediate iit Le gg economy. That economical all-season car is now made possible through the ingenuity of Lexington designers, New patents controlled in the Lexington group of 13 factories and the facilities of their own automobile body building plants, make possible now an all-season car which cannot be duplicated outside at any price. This car which only Lexington dealers can offer you, makes a vast saving in weight over the conventional unit Sedan. In price it saves more than $1,000 from the price of any of the built-up types of closed cars. Some Special Features NO OTHER CAR Can Have Other Special Features ONLY $5,000 CARS Do Have FRAME CONSTRUCTION Through patents and facilities the Lexington factories have constructed a unique frame which gives far greater strength and much lighter weight than any of the conventional frames. All cross members, spring hangers, battery box holder, etc., are hot welded to the frame. The running boards are of pressed steel so welded to the frame that they become part of it. This feature protects the frame against lateral weav- ing, while the unusual depth of the channels, 7% inches, affords full protection against ver- tical weaving and enables Lexington body build- ers to eliminate the heavy wooden body sills used in the conventional construction for frame reinforcement. This feature is not found in any car sold at less than $5,000. NO SQUEAKS OR RATTLES By the use of this patented frame construction, Lexington engineers have been able to eliminate 124 small and large parts, including nuts, bolts, ‘splashers, fender attachments and wooden run- ming boards, incluiecd in other makes of cars. These parts, in the stereotyped construction, very quickly devclop excessive rattles and squeaks, which Lexington owners clo not have to contend with. This noiseless effect is carried out in the attachment of the body to the frame, in the mounting of the headlights, door locks and in many other ways, CHASSIS LUBRICATION ‘To the motorist who has had to get “down and under” to lubricate his car, the Lexington principle of chassis lubrication will appeal greatly. The chassis has only three oil or grease cups throughout, all of which may be rt from a standing pesition, Elsewhere the lubri- cation is provided by the means of oil-less bush- ings. This feature is not found in any car so.d at Jews than $5,000, MULTIPLE EXHAUST The Lexington is the only car equipped with the Moore Multiple Exhaust, the invention of John C, Moore, Chief Engineer of the Lexington Motor Company. Dead gases are disposed of through two exhaust manifolds and two mufflers. This has the effect of eliminating back pressure by doubling the intervals between explosions in any given manifold. It does away with trapped ee By actual test it develops 22.8% niore P. than the same motor equipped with the conventional type of exhaust used on all other makes of motor cars. LEX-GASIFIER This feature is also an exclusively Lexington patent from John C. Moore's inventive genius. It was designed to cope with the low grades or gasoline on sale everywhere today. Since the dawn of the industry, automotive engineers have developed carburetion and vaporization to ac- commodate only 100% pure gasoline. Mr. Moore is the first engineer to recognize the fact that this grade of gasoline 18no longer obtainable. The LEX-GASIFIER makes it even possible and practicable to use kerosene, if this should ever be found necessary. Because of its perfect vaporization of gasoline, excess power is afforded at an actual saving in gasoline consumption. BRAKE SYSTEM The Minute Man chassis is equipped with a one finger emergency brake, which means that it is actually possible to lock the rear wheels by the pressure of one finger upon the brake lever. The service brake is so constructed that under the principle of the Hotchkiss drive it eliminates the tendency of the service brakes on other cars to apply themselves when the rear wheels pass over uneven surfaces. This feature is exclusively Lexington. UNIVERSAL JOIN1 The Lexington is equipped with a non-metallic universal joint. The universal effect is prow vided through three thermoid fibre disce, *tronger and tougher than steel, and yet suff ciently flexible for all purposes, This eliminates the obsolete metallic universal joint found ia other makes of cars. And it prevents the metallic and hammer-like blows that tear et the rear axle clutch, transmission and motor in taking up the “play” of the metallic joint. Lost motion is eliminated. TWO-WAY LAMPS ‘The Two-Way headlight, built by the Lem ington Company and protected by patents con- trolled by tiem, is the only head lamp that does not need special lens equipment to pass the non- glare laws of various States. In other words, these lamps meet the approval of the various states even though equipped with plain glass. It thus affords the operator of the car full illumi road without blinding anyone approaching from the opposite direction. GUARANTEE AND SERVICE In addition to the written guarantee, every Lexington motor car is backed by a moral guat antee of unusual force. This is on the theory that satisfied owners and users of Lexington cars, are the best form of advertisement that any motor coricern can have, It is therefore not the policy of this company to stand upon phraseology and the printed guarantee. But it does stand upon a flexible warranty which is calculated to protect the rights of both dealer and @ stomer, Also 9 other body designs including touring car $2185 F.O.B. factory and the 4-passenger sport model $2285 F.O.B. factory.
