“ADDIE KLUB STARS fi AND BlG CHORUS IN ATOUT ENSEMBLE And That's Some Toot, as You'll Say After Seeing “The Wishing Ring.” A whole lot of kiddies went up to the Manhattan Opera House yester- Gay afternoon and were transformed imto fairies by the magié touch of the Fairy Queen's wand. It was another tryout for the tout @semple of “The Wishing Ting,” which is to be put on at the Man- tam on the morning of Dec. 27 by the Kiddie Klub. If you don't know What tout ensemble is, kiddies, ask dad, and if he's been over to ce he'll tell you toot sweet. It’s the big thing in “The Wishing Ring,” or grand opera or anything Uke that, you know, where all the fairies ballet dancess, villains and the hero and heroine come on and there's lots of lights and ¢rashes of music, the fiddies squeaking and the eernets and trombones banging and the drums rolling like thunder, just like @ lot of trees falling ddwn in the| forest in an awful storm, It’s a spectacle where the ballet -@ancera swing around on the\ toes and the rhythmic dancers run around im rings, and the Fairy Queen waves her wand ‘and everything ts bright and gay and the villain wonders where he gets in or off. Of course that’s a big thing in “The Wishing Ring,” and to have it done like it was dono last year, | there's got to be tryouts and re- | als, and new kiddies trained, | new fairies found, now singers and | actors and all that. So that's what| the kiddies were doing up at the| Manhattan Opera House again yes- terday afternoon. Now, here's some- thing to show you how things go in the Kiddie Kiu> and how the kiddies 0 forward cach year. Mrs. Sam Carter Waddell is the mother of a kiddie named Lulu Carter Waddell, And Lulu can dance like everything. And she wanted to be in big show, so her mother tele- med to Cousin Eleanor and told how interesting she and her kiddies were in all that was going on in the Kiddie Kiuvb, So Cousin Eleanor told And, kiddies, little Lulu sure can dance and she did dance and all the kiddies who saw her will tell you so. Well, she was put down right away for a small part in “The Wishing Ring,” and then Mrs, Waddell want- ed to know who was golng to Instruct the re&t of the kiddies in the rhythmic dances, Well, there wasn't anybody up to then and Lulu's mother said that she would. And then we found out that she knew all about rhythmic dancing; 80 she went right in yesterday after. noon and put the kiddies throug! their paces and made fairies of them. And among those who were there were two of the “discoveries” of the Kiddie Klub who were among the artists of last year’s performance. They were Sonia Rabinowitz and Anna ‘Newton. You all remember them, don’t you?-how pretty they looked in their fairv costumes and how prettily and artistically they danced. It seems a long time off till Dec. 27, doesn't it, kiddies. But there's an awful ot to do in the mean time, re- hearsing the dancing and singing and speaking kiddies, rehearsing the mu- sim—remember how great that music was? Well, it's well worth waiting for, isn't it? Just think! The Man- hattan Opera House ts one of the biggest theatres in town, and there will be hardly room enough tn ft for all the kiddies of the Kiddie Kinb who want to see “The Wishing Ring.” But you know what Cousin Eleanor CUTICURA HEALS SKIN TROUBLE InRashesOnFace,Armsand Back.
