Ax ¢ as six o'clock this morniag, when the doors were thrown open, long lines of men and women, many of the latter with | shawls wrapped about them and ac- companied by children, were waiting. ‘The opening of the baths ts a direct result of a campaign for coal begun over a week ag by Borough Presi- dent Frank L. Some had enough reserve coal on hand to last until the latter part of the month, but they were finally compelled to shut down.
