By Pauline Furlong. The Evening World's Authority on All Questions of Woman's Physical Well Being. In your letters to me a few of you have complained that the exercises I recommend were too strenuous. You have sald that they were “too much like work,” that they tired you out. You have rebelled against devoting @ mere ten minutes daily to simple Movements for inert, untrained muscles. And yet I imagine that most of you are young, potentially strong women: or, at least, that you} have not passed beyond the period ot maturity. Tt 1s true that IT have heard from only @ few sluggards. In most of my cor- respondence there have been Intelll- gent questions as to the development of health and strength, or enthusiastic indorsements of the treatments de- scribed. However, tt seemed to me that not merely the small number of indo- Jent and timid ladies by whom I have been reproached, but the much larger group of plucky and interested work- ers would like to read the letter 1 have Xeeived from the woman who signs herself “One of Your Followers.” AN ENCOURAGING LETTER FROM A PLEASED READER. I am frankly proud that one who admits having passed her three- “ecore and two should find helpful and valuable my course in health, strength and beauty which has been appearing in The Evening World. And I think you will agree with me that her letter is the best possible encduragement to the rest of us when we are indolent or pessimistic about keeping well and strong. Here is the letter: “My Dear Miss Furlong: No ‘ene appreciates the exercises you given, with the explicit di- rections, more than I do.
