PRESS SEARCH FOR MISSING FLUSHING NAN AND WOMAN Ask Comrades to Hunt for H. W. Smith, Vanished City Employee. NOT IN A HOSPITAL. , Record Book Mysteriously Re- turned—-No trace of Wealthy Mrs, Erickson. Following a request for a general police alarm for Herbert W. Smith, whose family has heard nothing from him since he disappoared from his home at No. 144 Cypress avenue, Flushing, last Wednesday night, the 190 Inspectors of the Bullding De- partment in Manhattan, with whom Smith worked, were asked to-day to make @ systematio search in their Teapective districts for the missing man. | A eearch of every hospital in Man-| hattan, completed at noon, fatled to reveal the slightest clue.
